Best Under Eye/Dark Circle Correcting Concealers from the Drugstore -Boots and Superdrug | L'Oreal, Soap and Glory, MUA, e.l.f, 2true

Hi, I'm Lizzie and I am a Concealaholic. I have a drawer full of them. And as a sufferer of dark circles, I like to try out a lot of concealers to cover them - these are a few of my favourites.

Soap and Glory Trick and Treatment in Bright On - £9.00

A recent find but I've already fallen in love; it is a yellow toned corrector and it really makes my undereye circles disappear, plus it has some kind of technology that helps to treat dark circles so I feel like I'm helping my skin when I use it.

2true 3-in-1 Concealer in Light 1 - £1.99

This provides the coverage of Collection Lasting Perfection but is not half as cakey and lasts as long. It is fabby on blemishes too and can be found in Superdrug.

e.l.f Tone Correcting Concealer in Rosy Beige - £1.50

A well-loved concealer, this one looks super-natural and even though the coverage isn't amazing it can be built up and lasts all day.

Make Up Academy Pro Base Conceal and Brighten Kit in Porcelain Beige - £3.50

These concealers (+ cream highlight) are so fabulous and creamy and correcting I cannot explain but I'll try. They never crease on me, look flawless and blend amazingly. I love these and need them in my life. I'm already hitting pan on the two concealer shades - oops x

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Highlighting Concealer in 1 Light - £8.49

This is super brightening and works so much better than the mayebelline one. It is not cakey at all and blends perfectly. The shades are all really neutral and the brush is really soft so doesn't irritate my eyes - amaze!

Swatches (from left then below): Soap and Glory, 2true, e.l.f, L'Oreal, MUA

I hope this blog post was helpful in your journey to find the perfect holy grail concealer - if you have any recommendations please leave them as a comment or send me an email to lizzielovesfudge@hotmail.co.uk

Best Tinted Lip Balms | Soap and Glory, Nivea, Sleek, Miss Sporty, Burt's Bees

As a big fan of natural, no-makeup makeup, I naturally love tinted lip balms as they add a hint of colour and still moisturising the lips anyway.

So here are a few of my favourites, ranging in price and pigmentation.

First up is the Sleek Makeup Pout Polish SPF15 in the shade 'Frosting'. I love this because it is only £4.49, is super moisturising and the colour is a gorgeous lilac. A downside is that it is in a little pot so you have to use your finger/a lip brush but I can work around that.

Next are the Miss Sporty Dr Balms in the shades Gossip Kiss and Honeymoon Kiss (an orange and a bright pink). These can probably be compared to the Maybelline Baby Lips as they are more like lipbalms with a bit of moisturisation added. Good smelling and a lovely colour selection.

The Nivea Soft Rose lipbalm has a very light hint of pink pearl but is very moisturising and leaves my lips soft - great for school.

Then comes the Soap and Glory Mighty Mouth which is a tingling minty lip gloss that leaves my lips hydrated with a glossy finish.

Last are the Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balms that I have in the shades Red Dahlia and Hibiscus (red dahlia being a brown/red and hibiscus an orangey coral). These are really moisturising and leave a really saturated colour on the lips - they do whiff a bit of sweat but it can be got over.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post - what are your favourite tinted lip balms/lip balms in general?

Weekend Haul | Barnado's, Poundland, WHSmith and Superdrug

I know it's not the weekend (sob x) but I wanted to show you a few bits I bought last weekend from a few places.

I picked up this super adorable card in a charity shop near me - Barnado's to be exact. It was only 79 pence - bargain! - and will come in handy for summer birthdays.

In poundland I found a dew bargains - these Kleenex Facial Towlette have been in the 99p store too so are they being discontinued? I picked up a couple of boxes because they cleanse a lot deeper than a cotton pad. I also picked up this Beauty Formulas Cooling Mist which is basically just de-ionised water in a spray can but was much cheaper than ones from evian and avene but is super refreshing on hot days - I keep it in my school bag. I also bought these 3 toothbrushes from Wisdom as we're planning a few summer trips and I always need a new toothbrush when I go on holiday otherwise packing gets a bit awkward - packing carry-on luggage post is being planned at the mo. I also bought a boring one but an essential - cotton buds. I use these for clearing up makeup mistakes, nail polish removal and, obviously, cleaning out my ears (ewwww!).

A great deal this month if you're in the UK is Marie Claire Magazine for £3.80. A advert-filled mag but the free gifts are great! Two ciate nail polishes - cookies and cream and caviar pearls - plus Oral B Pro Expert All Around Protection toothpaste sample and John Frieda Everlasting Blonde shampoo and conditioner samples! Fabby!

+++ John Lewis' free magazine contains a sample of the NUDE Perfect Cleansing Oil - pick yours up in a John Lewis today!

Then in Superdrug I purchased the B. Micellar Water on the recommendation of LauraLovesBeauty and I have to say it is so much more cleansing than the L'Oreal one and is a great quick fix. Then a bargainous £6 palette is this Look Beauty Mini Makeover Palette - great for travel, this compact palette similar to the Khroma Kardazzles contains 4 lip colours, 8 eyeshadows and 1 blush! Amazing! It comes in 3 shades for different eye colours and the pigmentation is fabulous! Then lastly I picked up a Dove Summer Glow in the light/medium shade to add a bit of colour to my snow-white legs for the shorts season.

I hope you enjoyed reading and follow this blog via bloglovin to the right.
PS Do you like these short weekend hauls more regularly (ie every other week) or larger hauls less regularly (ie once every two months)? Let me know in a comment and I'll be sure to reply and check out your blog.

Nightime/Evening Skincare Routine + BONUS Treatments and Masks | June/Summer 2013

And it's here... the evening skincare post - I hope you enjoy!

Step 1 is removing my makeup and I use wipes to remove most of my face - I love the Primark pink ones and the No7 ones but I'll use whatever. For my waterproof mascara I use the Garnier 2 in 1 remover - it's normally half-blue half-clear but I've used most of it up.

Next I cleanse my skin with one of 3 things - if I have a lot of active breakouts I use Soap and Glory's Peaches and Clean that I am 100% obsessed with - try it... please! If my skin is dryer than normal I use the No7 Hot Cloth Cleanser that leaves my skin really moisturised and soft. If I'm having a good skin day I use my StIves Blemish Fighting Scrub as it keeps acne at bay and leaves my skin exfoliated.

After cleansing I tone with this micellar water from L'Oreal - it removes any extra makeup and doesn't leave my skin tight or stripped. I like it but next to try is the one from B.

If I'm feeling fancy I'll apply a little of this serum from No7 around my eyes - it isn't essential but acts like a primer for my moisturiser.

For moisturiser I take my Superdrug Naturally Radiant Renewing Night Cream that smells like Grandmas and plants but I like it. It leaves my skin soft and hydrated.

For eye cream I use the same one I use in the mornings from Boots - amazing.

Then for masks - I use a variety of masks, usually sachets from Superdrug or Montagne Jeunesse. My favourites are the Superdrug Cucumber Peel Off Mask (not shown) and the Fruit Sorbet Peel Off Mask (also not shown).
However, I like the masks shown too - the Avon Blackhead one is a good quick fix and the Simple one is very moisturising.

I hope you enjoyed this post - be sure to check out my ones on makeup (reviews etc) and subscribe via google friend connect, bloglovin' and emal.

Morning Skincare Routine | June/Summer 2013

As you can probably tell, this is my skincare routine. I've been waiting to do this for a while until I found some holy grail products to use but when I realised this wouldn't happen for a long time I thought I'd just do it!

So, it will be split into two posts: one (this one) featuring my morning skincare and another (up in a few days) featuring my nighttime routine and extra skin treats.

About My Skin: I have combination/dry skin that is acne prone and semi-sensitive. I have very sun sensitive skin and sensitive eyes. My t-zone is sometimes oily but mostly dry. My cheeks are oily.

The first step when I wake up is cleansing - if my skin is good I'll use my Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pore and Shine Daily Scrub because it isn't too abrasive but leaves my skin feeling clean. However, if my skin isn't so good (ie blemishes and dryness) I'll use the holy grail *bow down to* Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean that I've been using for ages and leaves my skin smooth and clear. I wash them both off with a muslin cloth.

Next is toner and I use the Simple Soothing Toner that doesn't irritate my eyes or skin and removes any extra dirt.

SPF comes third and I either use the Avon SPF 50 that has to be re-applied but isn't greasy or oily. If I'm running late I'll use my face and body sunscreen from Nivea as it doesn't break me out and is very water resistant so lasts all day.

Then I moisturise with my Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturiser that keeps my skin as clear as possible and is super light. If my skin is dryer I use the No7 Normal/Dry Day Cream that leaves my skin really moisturised and hydrated.

Then my last step is eye cream - I use this cheap one from Boots as it really moisturises my eyes and leaves them soft and fresh.

So that's my skincare routine part 1 and check back or subscribe via bloglovin, google friend connect or email to be told when it's uploaded - in the meantime tell me what your skin routine is in the comments and what your holy grails are...

Thanks for reading

Monthly Favourites | May 2013

...and now it's June - where did May go?

Well, it's summer now and time for it to get warmer (or not, as the weather decided).

Starting with nail polish - a few shades tickled my fancy this month so I decided to pick them up

Barry M Gelly High-Shine Nail Paint in Dragon Fruit

Such a pretty baby pink at such an affordable price - with a hint of spring neon this pink was a must-have when on 3 for 2 and the formula is amazing too.

Sinful Colors Cream Nail Enamel in Soul Mate

These nail polishes recently hit the eisles of boots and for only £1.99 I had to try - the cream formula's a little thick for my tastes but the colour is too good to resist!

Revlon Nail Enamel in Charismatic

Not sure if this is discontinued but it's the perfect coral with a hint of peach pearl.

Sinful Colours Glitter Nail Enamel in Pinky Glitter

After hearing 'theothersideofthirty' on youtube talk about this I had to try it. It's a coraly pink on the nails but two coats will give you full-on glitz.

Barry M Nail Paint in Acid Yellow

Did 'missglamorazzi' pick this up in England last year? I think it may be discontinued because I cannot find it in store but with a white base it screams yellow summer and is super neon!

Skincare next...

St Ives Blemish Fighting Scrub

An old and faithful friend of mine - I will never be without this as it is so abrasive and so removes all the dry patches on my skin.

Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean

Now using as a cleanser/mask double - still obsessed!
Is this being discontinued? Do I have to buy a million bottles?
Let me know!!!

Wilkinsons Lip Balm in Strawberry

Such a cheap product but is great for keeping one in the handbag, on in the blazer and one in my locker for touch ups - 3 for 99p is so cheap!

Superdxrug Naturally Radiant Renewing Night Cream

I've been testing this for a while and love it - it leaves my skin moisturised and I never get dry patches when I use this!

Nivea Sun Kids' SPF50

For face and body - it doesn't break me out but I'll only use it on my face if I'm in a rush.

Boots Simply Sensitive Hydrating Eye Cream

On realising that I needed an eye cream I bought the cheapest  one on offer and found it to be amazing - it hydrates without feeling heavy or sticky.

No7 Normal/Dry Day Cream

I need this on my skin when I have dryer days because it hydrates and leaves my skin smooth.

Avon Facial Sunscreen SPF50

I need a high SPF during summer and this is non greasy and dries fast - a perfect base for makeup.

now for the makeup...

Witch Anti-Blemish BB Cream

After breaking out this month I went back to using this and love it - it leaves my skin dewy and prevents breakouts growing.

Nivea Daily Essentials Tinted Moisturiser

This leaves my skin glowing - like Rimmel Wake Me Up but with less coveage - see here for full review.

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Concealer

I hate Maybelline Dream Lumi as it creases on me like crazy but this lasts all day looking perfect - the packaging is cute too!

Pixi Lid Lash Shadow Pen in Beaming Reflection

I bought this on a whim from amazon and love it - it leaves a pretty sheen and is a great base for eyeshadow

Revlon Lip Gloss in Pink Crystals

Part two of my perfect pink lip of the month. It is non-sticky and a really gorgeous peachy pink.

e.l.f studio blush in candid coral

My least favourite of my elf blushes but I've been surprisingly picking it a lot this month - a peachy-coral with a hint of shimmer.

Benefit They're Real Mascara

A sample from ELLE magazine - well worth £4 but not £18 as it does tend to clump and it still in my lashes after industrial strength remover.

Seventeen Lipstick in Belle

A lovely sheer moisturising lipstick that leaves my lips a rosy pink - like a lip butter but cheaper. The mirror in the cap in useful too.

Milani Quad in Denim Blues

I know blue people shoudn't really wear blue eyeshadow but who cares? These look pretty on my blue eyes and for a pound in poundland you really can't go wrong.

a few random favourites to finish including my Primark sunnies, wallet from Monki and Butterfly perfume from M&S.

I've also loved  the cranberry lemonade from the latter and have devoured about five bottles on train journeys in the last week alone!

Thanks for reading and I'll be uploading soon - any requests please email to me or leave as a comment - I love to hear from you and will always reply!!
