MUA 'Undress Your Skin' Range | Foundation and Highlighter

I know my last post was an MUA review too, but they've been releasing a lot of new products recently so I hope you don't mind!

So, a new range released earlier this month is the 'Undress Your Skin' range - MUA says it is all your answers to achieve a flawlessly radiant complexion. I picked up two of the items; the foundation and highlighter.

The Foundation

The lovely packaging
 The Facts

3 Shades (Porcelain, Beige and Golden)
£3 from MUA direct, £5 from Superdrug online and instore
Liquid Makeup
35ml

MUA says:

Illuminating Foundation offers a medium to full coverage and is suitable for any skin type. It gives skin an even toned glow and visibly gives a soft healthy radiant finish.

The formula contains light diffusing particles leaving your skin refreshed and luminous all day.

Opinions

1.) I don't think this is a medium to full coverage AT ALL! This is a light coverage at the most - my BB Creams give better coverage.

2.) It is too thin to apply with a sponge (my preferred method) so a brush or fingers is best.

3.) Will work well on most skintypes - best on dry skins though as is moisturising.

4.) Not long lasting - lasts 4-6 hours on my combo skin.

5.) I don't understand the illuminating effects - it does not highlight or make my skin look any dewier than if I use a normal foundation.

6.) The packaging is really cute and long - sleek and high-end looking.

Overall, I think it's good for the money but you can get better things for the same amount - if you like light coverage and am not wearing it for a full day this may be for you.

The Shimmer Highlighter

The Facts

1 shade (pink-mauve)
£2 from MUA direct, £3 from Superdrug online and instore
 Lightly scented
Powder Highlighter
7.5 grams

MUA says:

Undress your Skin Highlighting Powder is a lightweight baked powder designed to provide sheer coverage and a radiant soft-focus effect to transform your complexion with luminescence shimmer. The Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder perfects any look by creating a natural, healthy glow that is suitable for all skin tones.

Opinions

1.) A gorgeous colour on lighter skin tones - on darker skin tones it may not show up as well.

2.) Slightly gritty texture - okay if applied with a brush.

3.) Can be applied with fingers or a brush.

4.) The packaging is so beautiful - a lovely pattern to display!

Overall, I really like this product and have been wearing it a lot. Well worth £3/£2!

All porducts mentioned available from Superdrug and from MUA online.

MUA 'Undress Me Too' Palette

How happy was I when I found this little beauty in my local Superdrug?!

Remember that palette from MUA, the 'Undressed' Palette, and how it was a pretty good dupe for the NAKED palette? If you do, get ready to scream now as this gorgey palette is a dupe for the NAKED 2 and is only £4!

The colours are all neutral and I was so happy to see a matte black in the mix!

Here you can see the colours...

and the swatches. As you can see the colours are pigmented, but the black is a little difficult to swatch as the top layer is really hard!

And the shades are named!!!

Naked - a matte cream
Devotion - bronze-gold
Shy - light, shimmery peach
Fiery - red-gold
Lavish - mauve-taupe
Dreamy - brown-gold
Tranquil - light gold
Exposed - shimmery grey
Reveal - light, shimmery taupe
Wink - rosy grey
Obsessed - dark grey
Corrupt -  matte black

I love this palette and considering it's a dupe for an uber expensive palette, I was happy to only have to spend £4!

Available in the UK from Superdrug and MUA:

Hair

A really easy hair look is loose waves with a side part. I created these waves by side-braiding my hair overnight and taking it out in the morning, revealing loose waves - these are a day old and are still intact - just spray in a little hairspray, backcomb a bit and they'll look all bedhead-y and gorgeous!

Socks - primark
'Love' Necklace - ASDA (I know, right!)
